My friends and I were talking about this yesterday. The white can does make me pause, but you know, reading helps.

I started watching it a few episodes in and now it's a part of my Wednesday night tv.

I don't plan on seeing this at all, but I can honestly say that I want the Queen to win.

Well, I did have to hear him through her. She was the one in charge of the radio back then.

I can't wait to hear Florence and the Machine's cover of L'il Jon's "Get Low."

My mom texted me the news in a very formal, you might be too young to remember him way. It was weird because I'm thinking of course I remember Heavy D. I loved "Black Coffee" when I was a kid. Not to mention his character on "Living Single".

I'd like to see Oprah in another movie actually. And its kinda hard not to be humble when you've done Welcome Home Rosceo Jenkins.

All I have to say is: Oprah was Ms. Sophia in The Color Purple.

Yes! I was going to ask did she steal negro spirituals. This show's amazingness knows no bounds.

What the hell did she steal? I have to know.

I love this show. The cast is amazing and has great chemistry.

I hated "The Notebook" and I still feel like the entire world played a joke on me with how much people (ok, girls) said they loved it. But damn if you're not right about the McAdams/Gosling reunion. I'm not a lover of The Gosling, but I did like them together.

I have nothing to add except that I was delivered via c-section very early on February 15 after giving my mom (whose birthday is Halloween) a really hard time. Coincidence for this story?

For some reason I really want to watch old episodes of Real World. Mainly Back to New York, New Orleans, and the season with Tek Money (Hawaii?). Why can't I find you?

As I was watching this I asked my best friend who he was voting for in 2012. He jokingly said Rick Perry after he botched it and called him Rick Snyder. I told him I was voting for Herman. Because, duh, I'm black and he successfully owned Godfathers Pizza and who doesn't love pizza. Running America is the same thing.

Bad means attractive in just about every relevant R&B or Hip Hop song of (at least) 2-3 years. It almost never has anything to do with being "naughty". The use of "bad" in this capacity to mean amazing looks has been used for quite some time. I think it's safe to say it's "common parlance".

I haven't read this whole thread, but I noticed that you said this before. Whether or not People magazine covers gets a child found, the point is the blatant imbalance that the media is showing missing children of color. The implied message is that the whole fucking nation wouldn't care enough to know that a child has

Exactly. If the scandalous nature of the family's history (or present) is to be considered as a possible reason why the child isn't getting any coverage then how did we get Nancy Grace coverage of Casey Anthony? One would think that the "salacious" background would be a higher media pull.

This isn't a real question.

You are most assuredly not. I've hears her sing two songs: the cotton song and a Smokey Robinson joint.
