My friend bailed on me tonight too. I expected it though. When we made the date Wednesday I turned to my other friend, after she walked away, and told him that she would cancel. I'm neither surprised nor angry, but I am rewatching Merlin because series 4 starts tomorrow.

Idris, I understand, but I need you to be Bond because . . . just because dammit.

I listen to "Love is Strange" about every other day, as a part of my oldies playlist. 76 is old, but it still seems too "young" to a part of my brain.

My comment won't edit, but anyway . . . .

I'm not being snarky (I don't believe in e-thuggin' and snark on internet forums is a top 5 offender) and I didn't misunderstand anything. Do I think an ad (a paper image and text) is worse than animal cruelty? No, but the comparison between the murders of the Holocaust and the killing of animals can't be . . .

I'm not being snarky.

Yea, so this is where we part ways.

Again, I was going on the offensivness of the ad comparison, not the actual suffering of animals.

What do those colored people need with months focusing on them? There's no WET channel.

Funny how their idea of women only come from a certain idea of women from a specific racial/socio-economic status.

Actually, I have . . . .

I was going more on the comparison, but I'll save time and just say I disagree. I'm sure our threshold for what we consider offensive is different.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who read it like that. I had to read it twice.

The way animals are treated is more offensive than the holocaust ad? Really?

Yea, so that "Holocaust on your plate" ad is the worst thing a "humane" charity could ever do. Is packing a lot of chickens in a crate the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade of the animal world? No dice, PETA. I'll stick to the meat.

Hmmm . . . a hot guy named Dudley? Is that possible?

I think it's always been offensive, but people use it because they don't realize* (at least I hope) that it's a shortened (derogatory) term for gypsy. It's also such an ingrained term in our lexicon that people just say it without thinking about all the offensive things that were acceptable, but aren't anymore. I mean

She is my favorite character on the show. Last week's episode with Manny and the locket was perfect; Jay doesn't know who he's playing with.

As a Michiganian/der, I'm kind of sad that Borders is out of business.

The people next door are bumping Rihanna. I am not a fan. I need the men of Chicago (ages 25-30) to step it up so I can either be out on a date or in a relationship so that I can be having sex right now. You know, to drown her out.
