So . . . white women are ok with unemployment? Well, this was great. I love when non-black people (especially of a certain age) refer to us as "the sisters" and "the brothers".

I love Topher Grace, so seeing this movie is an option. I don't know how strong since my only 80s nostalgia is coming out of the womb and gumming/teething down food in the last 3 yrs of it, but it is an option.
@tinydundie42: Ha. When he would come to class he was cool. He, unlike some of the other students, wasn't douchetastic. And I have a soft spot for him for the day he sang for one of his presentations. I'm a sucker for the guitar, so I had a crush on him for the rest of the semester.
@tinydundie42: Every time someone mentions Darren I get very full of Wolverine pride. He's nice and his Italian (even though he'd hardly be in class) and guitar playing is pretty freakin' great.
No matter how you feel about Alicia Keys/Swizz Beatz, I think it's damn interesting that so many Jezzies keeping trying to make him "just Alicia Keys' baby daddy".
@Bad Ash: He's a producer, so if you're current (or have any knowledge of mainstream rap or R&B in the 2000s) then you've probably heard a lot of his songs.
@staunchlymolly: Thank you.
I remember when I loved Bow Wow. 13 yr old Me.Yes.Me thought it would be amazing to date him because our birthdays are like my grandparents—February and March. Funny how celeb crushes change. BUT good body though, Shad.
@BFF: That's exactly what the phrase means.
@sephalli: The Ron/Hermione moments are some of my favorite parts of the movie. My love for Ron/Rupert is probably what made me love this movie because he didn't get shafted. I really want to see it again, just for Rupert.
@PurplelifeheartsMizJenkins: Editing is amazing. The jumping in the beginning made this for me.
@CKash: The discussion of the racial aspect is not about this girl so it's not being overly critical. I'm having a hard time understanding how people are not getting this when the OP of that discussion said it wasn't about this girl. It's a discussion about a bigger issue.

@Norma Neufner Lady Officer: I'm confused by this. So, if one doesn't like the song, her voice, the way it's produced, etc. they can't be critical/say so because she's 17 and on youtube? When exactly is the age that people can be critiqued, so people aren't labeled "hater".

@catjuggler: Ok, good, it wasn't just me. I just kept thinking "But he had nothing to do with that part."
@PurplelifeheartsMizJenkins: I think the same thing whenever I see that skit. Like, wait, this is suppose to be a show on BET? . . . But there's only one black person on the stage.
@kermit_t_frog: No one here is analyzing a 17 yr old's desire to get youtube hits. Mayhaps she does like the original. Maybe she doesn't and thought it would be funny to make a cover. This discussion is not taking place because of this one girl.
@LaComtesse: I remember when this came out and I know the song that's being covered. However, having to deal with hipster racism, I'm wondering if this song/video was made for social commentary or if they just thought it would be funny to have white guys singing this song. The added bonus of it being on MTV, if it is…
@ZiggyStarPuff: My love for T.I. made me immediately frown at her light airy voice.
