@bookling: Yea . . . I still definitely miss Heath.
@bookling: Yea . . . I still definitely miss Heath.
@Polyandthenomials: Diana Ross, Lily Tomlin, Ellen Burstyn, Jack White, and Naima Mora (ANTM for the reality tv slant) went to my high school. I had chemistry class with one of the NY Jets.
I think it's sad that there are so many people here concerned about the "gold digger stereotype" in the song, as if this story can't be about one woman in this one man's situation who was really a fuckin' gold digger. Guess what? There really are women who do choose a mate based off of their monetary value. I don't…
I see you makin' parodies of the song I love and I'm like Fuck You. oo oo oo
@muchdrama: Oh yea, I'm no ageist.
@notsodarling: This is exactly why I'm going to grad school. If it wasn't for the temporary Census job I had this summer I would have been unemployed for 1.5 years. I'll "extend my adolescence" as long as I need to until there are more opportunities for people to be able to support themselves on their own.
@muchdrama: Says who?
@sashamichelle: I'm with you on this. Besides I love Idris, Michael Ealy and T.I. to such a fierce extent that I'm glad the movie did well for them as well.
Oooh, Bey, you are doing the most. There's just too much going on.
@Blaise Astra Parker: Paula definitely is not. No clue why she's on there.
@Brownh0rnet: The Joe Madden tweet is about Nicole Richie being one of the Top 100 black women on Twitter. Her tweet has the link for the list which includes Paula.
@Missblackcardiganqueenofharlem: Yes! I love speaking in code. We should try out for the new Ebonics dialect job.
@bradley1790: . . . Except for the part where she is not even part black and does not claim to be so. She has, however, acknowledged that some people thought she was back in the day.
@CharlesOryx: Ha! Group texts. Being a 20-something black lady I do have a passion for the texts. Yes. Conference call and mass texts for tonight's discussion.
Paula Abdul? Really? I know when I was a wee babe of the early 90s I thought she was black, but who the shit still thinks that?
@Calisee: The home phone has increasingly become almost obsolete. If the majority of people have cell phones why would a landline be necessary if an individual has a constant mode of communication at the ready. The only reason we even have a landline is due to needing to buzz people in. Home phone gets no action.
Attention all black female Jezzies: Conference call tonight about what this study means and how they found us out. Remember no home phones though.
@samanthajonesprqueen: I did too. It wasn't until after I read that the statistics showed that women talked more than men that I realized it was more a groups thing.
@stacyinbean: Damn, a lot of people I know, including myself, live in 1964. I have now become aware, thanks to this thread, that the word "cuss" is frowned upon and is a mark of the uneducated.
@kaitlynjordan: I don't know why, but for like two seconds I thought you meant racially, since Elisa was black and Native. lol No clue.
