Though I’m sure there are abusers of the Medicare/Medicaid system, they’re not where the majority of the money goes. That’s a straw man propped up by the right wing to further justify their assaults on healthcare for everyone but the rich.

Good ol’ Donkey Kong Country, made during the golden years before Rare turned into a pile of junk (damn you, Microsoft!).

The ending credits for Super Mario RPG were pretty solid and somewhat emotional.

I was taught growing up not to take what I have for granted. My dad used to tell me that no matter how bad you think you have it, there’s always someone else who has it worse. If my taxes need to go up to help support healthcare for everyone, regardless of their level of need, I would have no problem with it.

It infuriates me both that this prick got elected and that Democrats who just flat out would not support Hillary stayed home and allowed this POS to get elected.

They won’t say it outright, but they feel it all the same: They don’t feel they should have to be responsible for anyone’s healthcare at any time for any reason. Babies, kids, disabled persons, they’re all just a drain on their taxes and something, something, small government, something, something, personal

That list is mostly accurate, though I’d argue Man of Steel is pretty good and the Director’s Cut version of Daredevil is also pretty good.

Spider-Man 3 and ASM 2 both suffer from bloated plots trying to jam in too many things. SM3 gets the nod over ASM 2 because it had the better cast.

People talk about the Star Wars prequels needing recuts, but I think Spider-Man 3 is definitely one in need of some editing help.

There’s not enough space to run down all the problems Spider-Man 3 had. Venom definitely was a big one. Cramming Venom, who is capable of being the featured villain of his own film, into an already overcrowded movie was a big misstep. It was akin to jamming Doomsday, who also should’ve carried his own film, into

I have seen The Animatrix. It was a pretty good idea. Unfortunately, probably a better idea than both of the sequel films.

Very true. It’s clear that The Matrix was intended as a fairly self-contained film. That doesn’t mean there wasn’t potential for sequels, but it does mean that the sequels feel completely disconnected from the first movie in just about every aspect.

That whole sequence reeked of being rushed to make an arbitrary deadline.

I agree that there’s plenty of space to tell other stories that co-exist alongside the main narrative. Not all of them have to deal with the main storyline.

Reeves was fine. The biggest issues with those 2 movies is they spun around a bunch of convoluted and contrived story webs and philosophies with no way to bring them to any kind of real conclusion. Also, the CGI in Reloaded during certain scenes was dreadful.

Season 1 and season 2. Everything after that was meh.

I’m having the same problem.

I’m having the same problem.

It’s not. It’s basically a veiled return to the old ways when only people with money could afford insurance and everyone else could screw off or get slammed with a huge ER bill.

I haven’t played SOTE in many years. I loved the hell out of the book, though. SOTE may not be canon anymore (though certain elements of it are), but I still consider it to be one of the best EU novels.
