I don't think Carmack's statement is correct, at least the part about a very short time. Don't think Cliffy B is on the ball either - but then again, I never do!
The film's writer Mark Protosevich and BioWare's Casey Hudson. He has reach, but HE has flexibility.
I doubt it. On both counts.
Yeah. I've said it before, but the more we accept stuff like this, the more dangerous precedents we set, and before we know it we'll be paying out the ass for stuff we used to consider part of the deal. People can claim tinfoil hat on me if they like, but we wouldn't have pre-order exclusive DLC, £10 map packs and…
At least they didn't claim that it would help pay for upkeep of servers, etc in the press release. That would REALLY have marked it as bullshit.
Terry Bogard, man!
Wait, there was a Redcoat uniform? Classy!
Guess you don't know about the arcade rip everyone's been playing for the past few weeks...
And if they do, that'll be a tremendous dick move, since - as is pointed out in the article - they've had no problems with people playing this leak and have only increased potential sales, if anything.
The thing is, it's not the actual game, it's an alpha build. It was used as an E3 demo (I think). It's not the full game, just the first city, so I don't see how they've lost any money on it.
Depends on where "here" is. For America, yeah, Atlus is publishing it later this year. For Europe, two SNK and Atlus reps said an announcement was forthcoming, but who knows, it could just be an announcement that we aren't getting it.
It seems to be an iPhone port of KoFXIII.
Hating KoFXIII? For shame!
Not to imply that this project doesn't have any worth - it does look interesting - but as an anticipation of some of the comments and discussion it might raise, I long for the day when we will stop comparing videogames to movies and seeking some strange kind of validation for our hobby.
Yeah, I know. With - from what I've heard and hope - 98 Iori!
There we differ; I just don't find them fun. I play them and think "Ok. Why amn't I playing the console version?"
I'm really interested by this game - have been for a good couple of years now - but I have to ask, Funcom....what's happening with that Longest Journey MMO you promised, huh?
I played it, and enjoyed the hell out of it. It definitely isn't the masterpiece that is Civ IV, but it's by no means a bad game.
Civ V is a little more friendly to players, so I hope you enjoy it!
