So, in a different post I thought maybe it was the beard, but it turns out his nose and his forehead are all different in the movies because of prosthetics. Normal Richard Armitage is kind of regular looking. Dwarf Richard Armitage is brawny and sexy. I vote for the dwarf too.

It's the beard - I saw a picture of him clean shaven and he doesn't look half as good, seriously. But with the beard and the costumes, he's so dreamy.
