Get narrower tires. Sense would tell you to get wider tires for a bigger compact patch, and this is wrong. Narrow tires outperform in snow, they cut through and don't float over the snow. As a lifelong Minnesotan plow driver, believe me here. You'll notice a massive difference when you ditch the wide tires.
