I’d throw the Mercedes G Wagon into the category of unnecessary cars in their product line.  Yes, they make several crossover and SUV models, but those all have very familiar body lines.  They look like a Mercedes.  They have no need to build the G Wagon, and their product lineup would be fine if they quit making it.

Be patient, and look around for used Grand Sports in a few years.  That’s really the sweet spot in the C7 lineup.  Love my Z06, but I haven’t “needed” all the horses more than a few times since I bought it.  Find a good deal on a Grand Sport with a stick and feel good knowing you’ve got one of the last true Corvettes.

I saw a similar video on here a couple months back with a similar premise. The G wagon vs the Rubicon vs a Land Cruiser in a series of trials. The Rubicon didn’t fare well in that comparison, where the G wagon rocked. To bad I’ll never be able to afford one.
