Wonder if it’s Steve Slater at this new gig. Things didn’t quite work out for him at Jet Blue.

I had a similar thing happen to me once flying out of Seattle. Continental or United, can’t remember which, red eye that was leaving for Houston just after midnight. There were like 6 of us on a 757. The crew told us to plop down wherever we wanted so I hit a first class seat. What was really funny is only one…
Wish I had more than one star!!! Strong runner for COTD!
I do wonder where the limit is? Every new model is that much faster. Eventually there’s a limit right? Oh well, that thing looks and sounds amazing!
I like these cars a lot. Puts me in mind of the A3/RS3. Germans know how to build cars. I’m guessing it drives really well. Wife had a Wolfsburg Jetta back in the day and that thing was a hoot.
There was an article on here some time back about GM patenting something that seemed to point to a manual in the C8. I’m guessing it will come out later...maybe with the next iteration of the Z06. Tell you what though, I bought the A8 with my Z06 because my wife complained she wouldn’t be able to drive the manual. I…
Yep, can’t fault you for feeling that way.
It’s down about 50 points from where it was last week, so it has dropped considerably. Still, Boeing is a strong company and one of only two companies in the world that builds this product. Also, it’s not like a current Boeing customer can cancel their orders for 737's today and receive a comparable aircraft from…
I was thinking Cleetus McFarland, but I could totally see the back of that black Lumina stuffed with Twinkies and guns. Works for me...
I’d have to guess a kit car. That doesn’t sound especially rowdy.
I really do hope they find a way to treat or prevent cancer someday, but I’m worried this is one of those diseases that will stick around in some form or another. I received a cancer diagnosis 3 years ago but after surgery and radiation I made it through. Don’t know that I’d want to go through those treatments again.…
I read these stories from time to time and thank my lucky stars that I live in a neighborhood with HOA board members that seem to have a fair bit of common sense. I’ve lived here for 20 years, and until recently my annual dues were less than $400 a year, and were set aside several years when there was a surplus. …
I’m all for ending human trafficking, and I don’t think anyone will argue against that, but as the article states where are the arrests for trafficking? Arrest the owner of the spa. Arrest the person that facilitated the documents that allowed the trafficked individual to enter the country. If organized crime is…
Won’t work over here. In Germany, drivers know to move to the right when they’re not passing. Even folks cruising at 250K will pop over to the right when they can. In the states, it seems everyone acts like occupying the left lane while maintaining the speed limit is a birth right.
This is like a kick in the groin for Supra lovers. BMW punked Toyota big time here. The more I hear about this car, the less exciting it sounds like it’s going to be...and the more valuable the old ones are going to be.
Pfffffft...I can do that in Seattle right now. Hold my Starbucks and watch this!
I can’t spell maht and he did some...I have a headache.
I’ve heard the old saying “when in doubt, gas it out” but damn!
I love F1 and Moto GP, but I’m starting to think I’ve been missing out not following rally cars. Some of the races I watch are snoozers, but these things make awesome noises, throw mud and snow everywhere, and crash spectacularly from time to time. Going to have to start tuning in to some events.
The sound is the thing I miss most about some motorsports. I loved the noise the old Moto GP v-twins made. I liked the first 4 cylinders too. Not as big a fan of the current bikes. Same with F1. I get that the cars are engineering marvels and do so much with such a tiny powerplant but the sound just isn’t there.
