You’ll be glad to hear that when Ryanair approached Boeing about adding standup seating to their all Boeing fleet, Boeing and the FAA politely declined their request for modification. It can always be worse.

I’m amazed at the number of folks that go in there in their socks. Hope they’ve had a tetanus shot.
Holy cow! Your avatar is the same as the one I use at work...wait for it. At The Boeing Company where I work in flight test engineering. Imagine your avatar popping up onscreen in the middle of someone’s presentation when they haven’t set their status to “Presenting”.
I doubt that will be the case. Yes, it’s VIN #1 but GM is going to be pumping out as many of these cars as they can very soon and you’ll be able to order the same options as Mr Hendrick has on his. Exclusivity plays a big part in the appreciation of a collectible and this car is going to be anything but exclusive.
I was happy to see that the Z06 was only 1.6 seconds slower. I picked mine off the lot and it was just north of $100k with tax. Like you, I’m cool with that. Don’t get me wrong, if I had the scratch and was cool enough for Ford to think I deserved one, I’d put one in the garage but as it stands it’s just another car…
You are asked to remove anything you need to carry with you (medication, electronics, etc.) and to remove those batteries. The batteries are handled on the honor system, but I’d hate to tell them your bag is good, have an incident where your luggage ignites, then have to explain how they were in there.
Yeah, the head unit is essentially mirroring your phone. I use Android Auto in the Corvette and like it a lot. I get Waze or G Maps, Pandora, Amazon Music, Spotify (I think, never use it) and handsfree phone and text. Very, very handy but I’d not pay $80/year for it. If GM had pay to play I’d simply run it from the…
I’ve passed through terminals at CDG where they’re boarding a 380 and now have a realization of what it must be like for salmon to swim upstream. 400+ folks trying to queue up and get through one gate pretty much gums it up for everyone else.
When I was in the Navy, I always thought storms were a blast. First, I generally didn’t work during storms because I worked on radar systems and preferred to not be electrocuted. Our boat rode pretty well in heavy seas, so I’d generally grab a cup of coffee and head for the signal bridge to watch the waves break over…
Always bump into teachers in the expat bars over there. Lots of folks employed by schools and private companies.
Stick a 22R in it, a lift, and paint it yellow...I think you know where I’m going here.
I should have stayed in school.
If he pulled that off, I’d vote for him. The hero we need!
If you’ve seen my wife drive...the country is ready for a selective ban at least.
Oh how I need to hit that Power Ball!!!
A man’s got to do what he’s got to do to keep the beer cold and the ice cream from melting on the way home from market. That alone makes him the hero we need.
I hope they don’t put the Corvette name on it. Corvettes have always been front engine, rear wheel creations. Make it a Cadillac. If you want to make it a Chevy, make it a new halo car like Ford did with the new GT. Call it what you want GM, but please don’t call it a Corvette.
Thief!!!
The wife had a 2001 Wolfsburg Jetta, and that thing was a hoot to drive. BBS wheels with good rubber, a 5 speed gear box and that 1.8t engine. Be good to see the Jetta get it’s groove back. Over here in Germany though it’s all Tiguans, Golfs, Sciroccos, Tourans and Routans. See a Passat looking thing on occasion too.
Love the truck, but those seats!?! Those are God awful horrendous. Who thought that was a good idea?
