Alta (the bike in this post) was competing with 4 cycle motocross bikes in competition, they competed in flat track too. It’s been done... unfortunately that wasn’t enough.

You probably already know this... but on a distributor of unknown condition you should probably set the timing at full advance (on my car it’s fully advanced by 2700 rpm) using the timing advance feature on your timing light.

Unfortunately, not enough people got on board for the bike he is riding (an Alta). They went under. There isn’t another electric dirt bike at that level (ready to race) for sale right now.

This Zero... I love it, but you can tell they started worrying about design too late. Theres no consistent line or shape hierarchy on their platform to work with. Alta already built that bike. It’s a question of who is going to build it next.

Not hard, but it’s just as expensive as a 2002 now, so most people talk themselves into the BMW.

I mean, the Zero is NOT a looker. The original LiveWire prototypes have gorgeous lines/proportions. But even then, you could buy an Alta up to a couple months ago for 12K that looked like this:

And they killed Alta in the process. Alta was selling their bikes for 12K before closing shop. And they did it without compromising aesthetics and specs like this Harley. I mean look at the production bike next to the test mule above... they fucking blew all the styling goodwill of the original.

Engines from that era were engineered for oils with additives that modern oils have eliminated. You absolutely should not use the oil in this article, or any other standard modern oil for gasoline engines.
