If you want a light, small, inexpensive car for AutoX, get a 64+ Corvair and put 1K into Konis, wheels, and a short ratio steering box.

Amen. In my industry, every company is trying to push this “grey culture” where there is no division between work & life. Google “work life blend” if you want to read some infuriating workaholic apologetics. Extremely popular right now in Silicon Valley & any creative field like advertising & film.

With a 4 carb head, it exceeds all of them.

Thank God we have you around to set us all straight!

If Jalopnik were a bar crawl, I think we could all agree to forget to tell him where we’re going next.

Tesla isn’t like Apple, yet.

We’ll have to wait to see if Tesla becomes like Apple.

“Bad guys” is a concept for simple people. There are mentally ill people, desperate people, those running afoul of the law... but bad guys only exist in Hollywood.

I know nobody will believe this... but Los Angeles has the best drivers of any US city I’ve been to, and I’ve been to many. Why? it’s a reliable engine, the late 4 carb versions have more HP than a 911, and it’s lightweight (aluminum block).

If it had 4 carbs NA, it would be EQUAL to that years 911, despite being an older engine.

I’m sure this will get buried in Corvair hate, but...

Come on, those aren’t beater cars. A Range Rover? A free cube? You’ve been pretty fortunate if those are your worst stories.

Agreed. With the amount of debt we are collectively in, who cares anymore? I wish we could pass some sort of neutrality policy (as other nations have) and divert those funds into infrastructure. Think of all the cool shit Iraq could have bought us. And the jobs...

Considering that skinny jeans have been rock n roll since Dylan went electric, you may want to go ahead and wake up. You’ve missed a lot.
