Being so flat, visibility was terrible even if you had a ticket, being another 100' away from the track behind the exterior fence was useless.

I attended that race with a general administration ticket. I thought that would be a nice place to see cars. Nope. They plywood’d up the catch fence all the way around that section to (assuming) keep the noise down.

Let’s not forget about the ALMS 2002 Washington, D.C. Grand Prix.
