Ugh, I get that she was an amusing storyteller, but I don’t understand how anyone could read that story about violent sex trafficking and a mentally ill-person self-harming and attempting suicide and come away entertained. The whole thing was pretty fucking disturbing.
pretty sure she has an age appropriate bf
so? so what if it’s anti-catholic? since when are they a protected class? fuck em.
I think something can be anti-Catholic Church without being anti-Catholic people.
I really firmly believe that over its 1500+ year history the Roman Catholic church has done far more harm than good. Not to write off the good that individual Catholics have done, but as an institution it has rarely (maybe never?) been on the right side of history.
Are they serious about the church being so fantastic for Ireland and
Europe? Are they not aware of the awful history of rape and abuse of children in Catholic schools in Ireland? I mean, it’s almost painful reading about the church and its supporters whitewashing the church’s influence on Ireland. Or, we could go back…
No, you're crying. Shut up.
That, right there, is awesome!
Yes, that pause choked me up a little. :(
Brilliant, beautiful, and fierce. That boy is sooooo going to regret that in about ten years.
Her little pause before saying the word "ugly" killed me. I know she had this awesome retort, but you could tell she thought it was a bad word, and it hurt her a little bit. I'm glad she has an awesome momma who encourages this good self esteem.
What a little sweetheart, and so right. Looks shouldn't matter.
I appreciate, as other commenters have pointed out, that this is a sarcastic article that highlights the absurdity of the concerned advice we women get from all sides regarding weight matters. It has been a red hot topic lately and one that I'm interested to follow. I am more compelled by the straight-style articles…
Are you serious? This is mocking the ridiculous claims we are bombarded with daily. Do your thing! Eat things you find good for you and exercise! No one is shaming you.
I read this as making fun of weight loss gimmicks, not a commentary on whether it's OK to be overweight and/or healthy.
