Sadly I was one of those nuts that watched and re-watched (partially cause I couldn’t keep up with the accent). I got into because I was a huge fan of French & Saunders. Their stuff if crazy weird and funny.

I think so. It’s a reboot so the franchise is establishing a new team, new universe. You may just miss the GB84 jokes—-which will not inhibit the fun of the movie.
