“Good episode”?! What the hell are you guys smoking. Just about a 30 minute CGI episode. The writing was borderline abysmal.
As a former lifeguard and competitive swimmer*, this dude is my hero and new spirit animal.
Good kid. Good work ethic.
I am just floored at how far and wide this story has traveled! Floored by how hilarious the reaction has become - even lots of white folks have joined the fun. The genius of black creative & humor remain intact - no wonder we survived 400 years of hell!
We now know who he is: Aaren, a 16-year-old teen, happened to be a colleague of the Black bodyguard who was attacked by white boaters.
I just love how when he saw stuff going down, he didn’t hesitate. He just jumped in fully dressed and started swimming. Such a heart on that young man.
“ we at The Root do not advocate violence.”
Was the hat toss by the security guard that did it for me.
The thing is I still think a Batman Beyond film is on the table. literally no one who watched the flash is complaining about Keaton playing batman again. instead it’s a lack of polished effects combined with a lot of bad publicity leading up to the film.
All snarking aside, this show is actually really good. I don’t understand why the CW is crossing over to airing it, but it’s a legit prestige TV series. First couple of episodes it is a bit wobbly, but by episode 3, it gets its footing and becomes something that is at least shooting for something special. Regardless…
This movie was so good. Like, holy shit.
Yeah, I haven’t felt this much anticipation for a follow-up since The Lord of the Rings made me wait a single interminable year between installments. I want it NOW, dammit! lol
I absolutely loved it and was completely engrossed and blown away by everything I was watching. My wife, on the other hand, said she thought it was boring and the disparate art styles for each character and their home dimensions made it “impossible” for her to have an emotional connection with the characters. For…
IDK about point 2... The pacing of the movie was on point throughout the whole film and then you get the slow burn of that cliffhanger ending. It does slow to a crawl, but I feel like it was for a very specific reason and they emphasized it in such a great way... really landed home for me.
What I HATE the most about this movie is that I have to wait so gorram long for the next installment. AND IT BETTER BE AN INSTALLMENT. Because I want these to continue in perpetuity.
But isn’t it kind of weird that they’re being so sketchy and vague about it? You’re a public figure, people want to know...was it a gerbil experiment gone wrong? Did you go septic after a massive hemorrhoid burst?
A room where people who are delayed can take their anger out on disruptive passengers (with padded bats)* would be a Shark Tank investment proposition.
“No one is above an ass whuppin’”
that should have been his seat for the entire flight
