The real problem with The Process wasn’t what Hinkie did, but how he did it.

Ooooh, hell yeah! Wade and Rondo! Two guys in their 30s who are well past their prime, don’t like each other, should have developed other facets of their games years ago to prolong their careers but didn’t and are now coasting along on the what their names used to be worth.

Obviously not everyone is so lucky but the Sixers have not drafted well and aside from the unproven Simmons and dynamite but broken Embiid they have NOBODY.

The 5th team in the East right now are the Hawks at 37-36. The Sixers are 27-46, i.e. 10 games behind.

They have improved by 17 wins (and counting) compared to last season, and that’s despite Embiid missing the majority of the season and Ben Simmons not playing a single game. If Embiid and Simmons come back healthy next season, and Saric improves as expected, the future is bright.

I wonder how many triple-doubles would Wilt and Bill Russell have had if blocks had been recorded throughout their career? For sure those guys got 10+ blocks a bunch of times, right?

By a mile. David Thompson was the previous record holder for youngest to score 70 (or 60 for that matter) at 23-years and 270 days. Booker, at 20-145, is well over 3 years younger.

Yes, in the 1993-94 season.

Also -1 for instance number 584 of, “Oh look, people over at Deadspin are taking shots at Bill Simmons. Again.”

There kind of are. Harden - who is averaging 8 rpg in addition to his points and assists - can be said to be flirting with a triple-double.

For sure. The NBA suspends people for lesser altercations, and the fact that both these guys threw actual punches (rather than the usual shoving back-and-forth) is definitely going to cost them.

We already suspected it, based on the 2000 slam dunk contest and that insane Olympics dunk (among other things), but now that we’re seeing Vince still doing things like the above at age 40 - can we now officially conclude that Vince Carter is probably the most athletic guy in the history of the NBA?

LaVar Ball seems like an ass.

In his defense, he never used it against Russ. The context of his comment was that he hates comparing eras because so many things change, that it isn’t really an apples-to-apples thing anymore. As an example, he mentioned that maybe more 3s meant more rebounds up for grabs, etc.

The Kings certainly deserve criticism for trading Cousins for a bag of peanuts. But let’s keep in mind - no one trades for a bag of peanuts when there is a pound of Wagyu beef steak on the table. The Kings were not exactly inundated with offers including All-Stars.

As despicable as Donald Trump’s very existence is, I’ll give him credit for one thing - he’s following through on the promises he made on the campaign trail.

A clip of Westbrook almost-but-not-quite dunking on Gobert.

Drew Magary’s piece deserved at least an Honorable Mention.

Am I the only one who thinks players should reign in the celebrations depending on context?

this is not merely his attempt to ingratiate himself with the officials so as to get a couple of these kinds of game-deciding calls to go his way the next time around.
