Look, I know Jalopnik wishes this was a Mustang because “hurr durr Mustangs kill people” but, this is not a fucking notchback foxbody Mustang. The quarter-panel proportions are totally off and if anyone knew anything, the side mirrors were never painted body color.

Not sure why, but I thought of the 1st Gen Acura CL and then the Infiniti M30 as well.

Ok... here is what I am attempting with this-

I’m seeing early 90s Infinity M30

These? I had these on my first ever 240... loooaatthheed their aesthetics and general poor finish. S14 SE 5 spokes 5 lugs... much more fetching after a lug swap.

edit: I don’t think those are hubcaps in the first pic. I think they are the teardrops, just with the center cap covering the lugs? Never had them though, so

All of the proportions are entirely wrong for this car. So is the shape of the taillight.

My last name is Carr. My son’s birth is the best “Carr meet” I’ve ever attended.

I like projects and all, but you might as well use this as the donor to a non-rust belt project car.

Long live Project Rustwood!

pretty sure that’s a Saturn

yeah, i usually scoff at the ridiculous pricing of most exotics.. but this, this feels like it’s absolutely worth every penny. it’s rare enough, nice enough, fast enough, cool enough, and oddball enough to justify buying this over any newer ferrari/lambo of the same cost.

*And* it’s blue? My god. A deal at twice the price. And is that...a factory 8-band manual EQ? I’ll need some alone-time.

My family had a couple and they were great. Cheap like most eighties cars, but never broke down and you could abuse it and it never said a word.

Had an 89 mazda B2200 that I got for free and kept for over a decade. What a great truck. It had options like seats and windows. It didn’t have a radio but listening to that 2.2 I4 giving all it had was music enough. The one optional feature I really missed was the dimming rearview mirror. I never knew that could even

My dad bought one of these new in 86. It only came with driver side mirror and no rear bumper. No radio no air con, manual everything. It was a great little truck. It did everything he needed it to and never failed for almost 20 years. I have a lot of good memories in that truck, including the first time I ever drove.

That’s so awesome, made cooler by the fact it’s a rad old car

These car gift videos are the best. This one is my favorite

Yup, right there with you. My wife would say “Why a $50k car!? I don’t need that! My Kia is fine!” (yes, she really does have a Kia, a Soul EV). We can afford a $50k car easily, but for her anything lavish or luxurious is a waste of money since we have kids and that money could go into an investment account for their

I’m gonna cry this is the best thing ever
