A Car That Feels Feelings

Yeah, but you can’t do proper burnouts or donuts with a gecko.. way too much grip.

Salamander I can agree. A gecko will get you off the line every time.

GOOD LORD. That front cover and hood gap looks like a high-school shop class tried to fix it as a first semester project.

Exactly, like the vette.

can’t be unseen.

Seeing them together, it kinda looks like a Toybaru in dire need of an EpiPen. Hang on, li’l fella!

Some dinos were small reptiles.

So after the 2JZ conversion you’re going to have a 60/40 weight balance. That sounds like a great idea.

I like the wheels and..... I got nothin.  The more I look at it, the less I like it.  And I genuinely didn’t think it was possible to make a car uglier in red than any other color, but here we are.  Here’s hoping it looks better in person than photos.

The Gundam school of design.

I now I’m gonna get shit for this but once the BMW motor shits the bed this would be a perfect candidate for an LS3 or an LT4. Low center of gravity, compact design, an extra 100hp and torque for days

In fact, Tetsuya Tada specifically tells people planning to swap the 2JZ in to buy the 4-cylinder model.

I think it is supposed to be muscular? Like, they’re trying to invent an all new design language since we’ve been turning on edge-form and retro-inspired styles for nearly 20 years now.

...less torque than a salamander.

The last shot in this article is frumpy as heck. It’s like it has the mumps or something. Puffy roof, puffy rear haunches behind that odd “vent” in the door, puffy tail lights poking out to the corners... black is definitely the color to get.  And lower it as far as it will go to hide huge roof.

I noticed it looks pretty good in black, it even diminishes the...nose...bulge... ... ...codpiece.

Except it makes torque, so it’ll feel quick throughout the rev range.

It’s the kinda car that will only look good in black as it better hides all the weird shit going on.

The panel gaps are oddly noticeable. It’s like they’re trying to use them as an accent instead of hiding them.

At first I was out on the styling, but the more I see it - especially in gray - the more I hate it.
