Depends on the phone you have. Some drain more than 50% because it is constantly searching for a signal. I leave mine in airplane mode. I only lose a percent or two. (iPhone 5S)

Yes but phones/tablets can go off, ring, vibrate, etc. causing a distraction and disturbance. Paper material cannot. There was an interesting article I read that tested if any interference or anything happens when a cell phone is left on and not on airplane mode. The result is...no interference.

They only do that so you can pay attention to the flight attendant going over safety precautions prior to taking off. Cell phones do not really interfere with the pilot or the airplane.

You do realize this V8 is from the 80s right? For fair comparison show me a 4 cylinder that made that much power back then? On another note, the noise and exhaust note alone are better on a V8 than a 4 cylinder block. There is too much of a fart can like sound that is just not appealing at all.
