Why would you want to reinvent what Bruce Timm and Paul Dinni have already reinvented so well?
Wow Original Airbenders felt like quitessential A:TLA aged up and that was fantastic.
On the level of darkness though is it? It's tied to a show that is predicated on genocide and deals with Sokka being a sexist dumbass in the third ep. And the first seaosn ends with murder suicide explicitly.
At first I was a tad annoyed how The Metal Clan didn't fully resolve at te end but as a pair to teh action heavy Harm's Way it was awesome awesome kinda tranquil bending. If only Zaheer had yelled "I'M A LIAR" suppose there's still time
While she wasn't the worst part about the pilot, I just think it was both poorly structured and well its a pilot how many of them are actually good, I'm not to bummed to see her go. She seemed like an easy audience surrogate but bringing in Zed makes more sense. Leverage that IP value
Probably The Double or Under the Skin but than Godzilla would jsut crush them all. Why do you have to pick one?
he shows up brefiely in the previews in the prison hospital with an eye patch
well he's missing an eye now. Women can't say no to that eye patch
No idea where this season goes and heck I'd be down if it becomes the Danile Frye and Adrianna show but I'm in
This show has all the markers of shit I should enjoy - questions of sanity, Scott Glenn, a general dystopian vibe, the whole conceit. And it's pulled off really well indvidually the sequences work and I gain enjoyment out of them. But it's also really opaque and kind of cosmic-horrory for me. Just kind of wollowing in…
I kind of expected him to be Father Merrin even though that's not the shows style
i think its a little telling that the showdown at the Vampire Theater was by far the worst part of the episode for me. Sure the climax serviced character a bit but all the vague dracula stuff just isn't what I like about the show.
Man I can watch Hannibal and be mostly ok with all the F'd up horrifyinf stuff and on a technical level I really enjoyed this epsidoe of tv, the explosions of emotion were amazing. But man I'm not sure I want to watch more of it but likely will.
I wonder how long it'll take Tenzin to realize that Air Nomad culture has essentially been frozen for 170 years. The proposition being offered seems like the equivolent of taking The Black in Game of Thornes. For all the titular change Air Nomad culture hasn't.
Aww no EMily for LoK recaps =( but wholy crap KORRA IS BACK!
More people should just watch Rome and Spartacus anyways
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU why can't I vote both and we all just be friends
So wait they aren't doing time skips?
It's shit like this that makes me love this show. All this dracula vampire hunting buisness is whatever. But if it allows them to force the characters to confront their past transgressions I'm all for it.
