If you live in an area where there is ample public transportation and everything you need relatively close, I can see how going without a car would be freeing. I, for one, would miss the ability to “just go” whenever I wanted, and to enjoy driving. But many people don’t live in places like that, and these people

Not all of us live in SF and travel to Tahoe with great frequency. Most of us don’t valet at the Marriot, lol. I hate to break it to you, but SoCal isn’t exactly what the rest of the US is like.

A Tesla takes 75 minutes to fully charge. 20 minutes for half charge. You have to compare apples to apples here. I can fuel an ICE car in a fraction of that time, travel further, and never have to worry that I won’t be able to find a source of power to keep the car going. These issues are constantly improving with the

“I often wonder if people in Mongolia are convinced that “Ulaanbaatar drivers are the worst,”

In a world where we have a reworked original Top Gear with serious drivers and talent as well as the original trio making “Gear Knobs” (or whatever) on amazon, how does anyone choose to watch this?

Also, how in the world do I get out of the grey?

I ALWAYS park on end spaces and ride the outside line, or get right up to the curb. It’s not perfect, and sometimes you do have to park further away, but in general it protects against people dinging the car with their doors, which is in my experience both the most common and the most frustrating of all parking lot

What’s a guy gotta do to get an American powerplant in F1? I realize it takes a lot of R&D and commitment to build F1 engines, but it’s disappointing that no American manufacturer has even made the effort. It just feels odd to have an “Ameritastic” F1 car with a UK based team that uses an Italian engine.

This is like our own version of “Celebrities read mean tweets”. Except they’re from youtube, which is worse. You should read the comments more often, Doug.

Air France. That’s how it happened. Avoid them at all costs when flying internationally. And skip De Gaulle Airport in Paris, too. If you’ve been there on an Air France flight, you can see how this kind of thing is not at all surprising.

The fact that the guy spent the big bucks for some prominently displayed Fram filters tells me everything I need to know about this car.

Obviously if the car was a “tech demo” it couldn’t have been sold, but it doesn’t appear that was the case. The owner was told his car was being used by Elon Musk to “test a new version of autopilot”. So, it was a software update; it’s not like the car couldn’t have been returned to sell-able state. But even if it

Not even. A dealer would eventually be shamed into honoring their original agreement. I recall all those times a dealer that somehow didn’t understand how eBay works accidentally took a huge loss on a car and then refused to sell it at the sold price. Those almost always work out in the buyer’s favor after someone

This could be why I have this perception. Like most people, I know very little about desert racing. I just remember him in a different car every silly season when I watched NASCAR growing up. I’m all for the guy doing whatever he wants, and hope next year he has better luck and manages not to hit his support vehicle.

It is just me, or does Robby Gordon race in everything and hardly ever win anything? I remember him in various NASCAR series (where he was never very good), IndyCar/CART (where he was never very good), and see him doing a lot of off-road racing (where he occasionally has success).

I’ll be the first(?) to ask...how hard would it be to convert it to manual? That said, man would this be fun. Nice find.

But in the end, won’t it just be a warmed-over Accord? It’s a nice looking design, (and I agree with Troll is English that its Mazda-ness isn’t necessariy a win) but what will it be? What will it lead to? Do we really think that Acura is going to start producing cars that look anything at all like this? This seems

Disagree. The longest I want to drive between stops is the longest I can drive between stops, and while that may be 200ish miles for some, it’s closer to 350 for me. We did 400 with two kids in the back (asleep most of the time) just before Christmas. It was brutal, but I’d rather do that than add another 30 minutes,

I showed this to my wife this morning (I show her the NP/CP nearly every morning) and her response was, “do they ALWAYS post wagons?”

I’m not an F1 guy, but am I the only one who thinks this marketing/branding trend is kindof ridiculous? An Infinity car that was using Renault engines will no longer be an Infinity but will use the same engine under the brand of a watch company. I miss the good old days when a car could be identified by the chassis
