I keep getting emails from my dealership asking me to sell back my car. I guess that’s one reason why...

I got one in Oct 2019. I just got a call this weekend from the dealer about it and while I haven’t called them back, the VM implied that they are trying to buy the car back.

Ford will eventually roll out the “F-150 for 150 Months” financing special, so even more buyers can afford that $70,000 luxury truck they need to haul mulch once per year.

I wonder how many of these you’ll get.

I think the obvious answer is that people are paying too much for a fucking Kia.

This! I suggested the Suburban dually Jonas rides in.

My vote’s for the 1989 Mazda B 2200 from Tremors. Without that Truck, Val, Earl and Rhonda wouldn’t have been there to save the rest of Perfection from the Graboids.

“Whoever it was, they put the dynamite under the passenger’s side. But what they didn’t know, what nobody outside the factory knew, was that that model car was made with a metal plate under the driver’s seat. It’s the only thing that saved my life.”

duh

You must mean the most important vehicle in the Back to the Future franchise. The producers spent three entire films of a movie franchise focusing on a time travelling Delorean, and totally missed the star of the show.

The Volga taxi from the Bourne Supremacy. 14-speed gear shifts in F&F got nothing on the number of licks this sumbich took while still maintaining forward momentum. And it beat a G-wagen. Solid work.

I thought Facebook WAS a boomer thing now. I’m so confused. Answer me on Tiktok.

Nonsense. Our 2008 Honda Element weighs 3600 lbs and has 166 hp. We’ve driven it on all sorts of highways - including the notorious Coquihalla through BC’s interior, which, I’m going to guess, is hillier and higher elevation than most places people drive on this site. It performed admirably, kept up with the very fast

We all drive in locations like that. And most of us are completely safe and effective drivers even when we drive slower cars with ‘20th century’ performance.

Edmunds got the Corolla Cross to hit 60 mph in 9 seconds.

The new Corolla SUV is a very slow car, but I expect it’ll rush off dealer lots.”

My favourite J-body is the 1990 Sunbird GT turbo coupe.

Any big GM cush-mobile, but the Cadillac DTS especially. It’s just so comfortable, and while I’m not the target demographic (I daily a Mini GP), I completely understand the appeal of these land yachts.

The 3.1 wasn’t slow (for the time) - neither the 2.0T in the Sunbirds. I won a more than a few AutoX trophies in a 1991 Cavalier RS.

I’ll second that. My first car was a ‘97 Cavalier Z24. There was a pic of one in one of these QOTA posts a while back and I got a weird pang of nostalgia.
