Not that shocking, Automakers have been tossing out pedestrian offerings for the masses for over a century now, and they sell a lot of them because the majority of people don’t care. And, us enthusiasts are a fickle lot that complain even when we are given approximately what we’ve asked for.
Oddly enough I own a Mazda3, and the kids GF has an Ecosport.
..I don’t get the impression that people shopping for a car like the Ecosport would be cross shopping a mazda3. One is entry level, on a boring SUV platform, the other is Entry Level Sport-Luxury in a drivers car platform.
By all accounts and…
I’m highly amused that all the BMW’s have different grille designs centered around those new huge openings.... it looks like they are having a design language crisis because their fanboys starting whinging. This is sure to end better than every other time a manufacterer listend to fickle fanboys about product design.
Big deal right, who cares how many African people will die of heavy metal poisoning, and how many of their environments will be damaged irreparably... so long as I get to act like smug on a car web site.
That wasn’t the point I was making. I was making the point that mining of the heavy metals, production and disposal of these batteries isn’t much better or less polluting than oil, and that most consumers don’t think about and or consider this fact. They look only at: exactly what you linked as a way to ignore what is…
I’m really looking forward to seeing these cars all listed again in a few months for like $5-8 grand less. ...maybe then I can punch NP on them... I mean I can’t even remember the last time I put NP on a car up here.
I just want car companies and their climate activist clingons to openly recognize that mining heavy metals and battery production and disposal isn’t really much better than using OIL for the environment. Not to mention, the automakers are pretty heavily relying on the fact that most the nations where we’re buying…
I think given some of the wraps I’ve seen on cars... this just looks like finger painting, and not even that well. All the cars but this one use all the exact same styles and themes..and honestly looks like he copped most that style from 90's Taco Bell ads mixed with Rugrats visual style. And even this car has a…
Can confirm the zen of maneuvering a large truck in a city. One of the most fun things to do was parallel park my truck, Good fun! (and I had no nanny-cams). I was better at parallel parking my truck in those spots than most people with cars half its size. Second most fun, was the parking decks. I always take the…
still no design language of their own.
....I had been shopping cars for about 8 months as of August. BMW’s of this vintage, and mileage were fairly common, and about $10 grand less - even found some wagons like this one. This one is simply over priced for what it is, that’s all. And again, for what $5000 more you’re in NEW car territory.
Poorly designed parking lots.
The Kroger near my house has a rats maze to get to the gas station, all the lanes and spots are not wide enough for even mid-sized cars much less the larger SUV’s that make up a majority of the vehicles in the lot at any given time. One entry way is blind and within 100 ft of the busiest…
I want to thank the NP/ND curators for always choosing vehicles that make me feel as though I got the best deals ever on my own recent used vehicle purchases.
Right exactly: Like I pointed out in my reply to Adam: Look how many econ-crap boxes have turbos and hatch doors... I don’t see these people ripping those cars apart saying “Another turbo hatch that doesn’t live up to the Hot Hatch bar” As if they would honestly expect a Ford Escape with a 2.0l Turbo and a Hatch to be…
I actually own the car.. that makes me the “consumer” in your example
so I must know what I’m talking about.
Do you own a Mazda 3? No, Piss off then.
Thanks for the reply Adam. My Mazda 3 is a car that honestly surprised me and greatly exceeded my expectations. I bought it exactly because it wasn’t a “Hot Hatch” and I was not at all impressed by all the other typical offerings in the segment that also were not “Hot Hatches” most of which were often more expensive,…
But the Mazda3 Turbo isn’t sporty in the least, despite its 250 horsepower and healthy 320 lb-ft of torque. It’s not especially comfortable, either. It’s a pain to see out of, and its all-wheel-drive nature has only made it feel portlier — not more confident — in bends.
So hydrogen proponents aren’t considering what happens to these things at the end of their life... and that; you agree: is problematic.
Well, that is exact what Toyoda is saying about these lithium battery powered cars.
Why is one true but the other is not?
Can either of you actually post links that support that this was a coordinated effort for Japanese automakers to defraud the Japanese people and government out of billions? Anything other than like “just your opinion, man”
You and this other kook didn’t post a single thing that supports your conspiracies.. so which…
