My auto-manual shifts quickly and cleanly - unlike every other |
auto-manual / CVT I’ve ever driven. It’s one of the primary reasons I wasn’t sad to give up a manual for this car.

The milquetoast styling, CVT, typical utilitarian interior, and gutless engine are why I got a Mazda 3 Hatch instead. The Mazda 3 hatch is what the Impreza used to be.

The Mazda 3 AT is a more old school AT, not some boring CVT, has sport mode and manual gear select. ...it’s fine without an M/T honestly. The 3 is so underrated even Jalops don’t get it. That’s why I love it.

The EJ Series 2.5l N/A are notorious for head gasket leaks. It’s less prevalent these days. This gasket problem is not a common problem on the Turbo EJ 2.5 however.  This is why you hear this about Subaru.

Mazda 3 comes with AWD option. 

The problem with that car is that it only looks good from a 3/4 Side/Front view.
(As pictured). Any other angle (especially the rear) and it looks more like an obese person overflowing the seat on their rascal scooter in a wal*mart.

And while I owned one of these and loved it dearly, The 06-08 chassis is far and away the better of the two in nearly every respect.

Subaru has a history of doing this with Legacy and Impreza all the way back to the early 90's. They often promote the Legacy chassis as the next gen Impreza chassis.
