I think I might prefer this to any of the gundam ones, ever though I like gundam very much. Shooter is a much better genre for that than DW. Just stick to the roots of people beating the shit out of tons of people, not robots.

There has been tons, but the one I think was a real fun one was Grand Battle 2 on the PS1. It was a simple smash bros. type game, but played better than any of the other games on any system.
