This is a last straw, not a reason to leave. This site and the comment system are actively hostile to use. It was mostly to worth it to fight through to get to special content, but I’m done with pop-ups, an unusable comment section, no mobile support and pages that routinely fail to load.

this smug ass response is like the icing on the cake for me leaving. i was already out the door anyway, but i kept coming back for torch and tracy. but this attitude right here seems to be taking over the culture of the writers at jalopnik and i have to think it’s souring the taste of many who might still read this

First, grow up. Millions of people read this site, if you want to stop, go with god.

If your first reaction is “Grow up” then you are missing the point. Here is an opportunity for you to step in and reassure the folks who frequent this site that while you are losing two unique voices, you have many more that are committed to continue on the tradition of what made Jalopnik great: unique and irreverent

Oh... I, uh, don’t know if I’ll still come around anymore much after this.

Publishing this take defending criminals might not be a crime in itself, but it’s pretty close.

Protests have to be permissible in a free society. That might mean we see disruptions as a result, but that’s our collective costs. Otherwise minority (BROADLY

I will say it’s been rather eye-opening to see some of the “solutions” provided by my fellow radical leftists. From “seize and crush their trucks and throw them in jail” all the way to “send in the drones.”

I miss Tyler...

I would really like to be a fan of FE, but since it only exists on a non-existent cable channel, I guess I won’t be.

This is an excellent take.

If you’re buying computer equipment from Best Buy...

Communists - nothing wrong with that

Ahh, yes, the Snopes standard, i.e. it’s mostly false because the entire city wasn’t burned?

No, they were burning cities and killing people.

How is this different from BLM protesters blocking roads last year? This is just on a larger scale. At the time, supporters were saying things like “protests are supposed to cause inconvenience” to make your message heard.

“White nationalist” has been watered down so much that it’s basically a meaningless term at this point, thanks to people like you who apply it to anyone they disagree with at every opportunity.
