It most certainly is a negotiation. I’ve worked with an Indian tribe and they’ve become very adept at playing the victim card. Usually it’s a shakedown for a payout; then they start to infighting over which of their own factions get it. See casinos, Keystone XL Pipeline, literally any government social program and now

Yeah, big time. Some of the writers on GMG are pretty close-minded though: You’re either on this side of the debate, or you’re wrong.

Here’s the top reasons you said you hate discussions summarized as a slideshow.

Seriously, I’m an atheist too, but would never write that, even as a joke. It’s so disrespectful. You want to have a discussion about theology? Cool, but just throwing out insults helps no one. Not even going to get into the stop flying part which is also incredibly stupid, but others have already put forward good

Yeah, there was absolutely no reason for that. One of the weaker writers here.

Careful - don’t bash Raph too much - you’ll get shadow-banned like I and others have in the past.

I’m an atheist as well, but saw the headline and the first sentence and thought even Raphael had jumped the shark beyond his usual low standards this morning. The site picked up with the addition of Mercedes, but the talent gap  here is still huge.

Makes you wonder if he woke and and just thought, “How the hell can I piss off a major portion of our readership today?”

It’s kind of amazing how many times Orlove writes something on which I agree, in principle, but recoil at the delivery, forum, and relevance. “There is no god”. Ok, I am an atheist... but what the eff? The self-righteous arrogance in this shock-journalism is ridiculous.

Today’s Morning Shift to be renamed Morning Shit

Amen, lately it feels like the Morning Shift exists as clickbait for angry comments more than for daily transportation-related news aggregation. As someone with family in 2 countries, where flying is the only reasonable way to travel between the two, to me wishing for drastically increased ticket costs is the same as

The point of at least 50% of Morning Shifts (and damn near 100% of Orlove’s) seems to be designed to have some combination of thinking the whole world is like Brooklyn, and shaming people who have the audacity not to agree with that.

That’s just Raph’s shtick. He’s the journalistic embodiment of “If you can’t get attention by doing something well, you can still get attention by doing it badly.”

“I often spend a few idle minutes wondering what America would look like if air travel went back to being ridiculously expensive and we all just drove to Wally World instead of flying to Hawaii.”

Errrrrr ...

Here’s the thing.  Big tires?  roof racks?  slight lift?  These are the things that are easily and cheaply solved in the aftermarket.  You know what these models NEED and can’t be provided by the aftermarket?  Transmissions that don’t pull power, overheat and die after 50,000 miles when used off-road.

GT350 is all top end, I’d almost prefer the 5.0 around town. (I used to own an ‘18 GT350.) That said, once the Voodoo gets wound up, it’s nasty.

My company’s Bolts have by far the least comfortable seats of any car I have ever driven. They are the only car seats I’ve sat in that literally cause me pain. I sure hope they do better with the new Bolts.

If you think you’re “buying into the future” because you got a haphazardly-assembled sedan with an unfinished interior from a South African diamond mine heir, then I guess the hype worked.

Ferrari always has a chance. They just normally squander it.
