You’re right, they did release the specs and IP, but if it were an SAE Jxxxx standard, companies can just say, “uses SAE Jxxx ports/charging stations,” and not mention Tesla at all. I think most consumers are not going to know/care that “SAE Jxxx” would just be the Tesla-style port/station.

They need to make Tesla’s supercharger an SAE standard so other companies don’t feel like they are losing face by adopting a competitor’s system.

+1 for radar cruise control. I never tried it until I got my ‘19 Tacoma, which curiously works quite well with the 6MT. It is weird shifting while the system is active. Radar cruise makes highway driving so much more tolerable.
