I’m mostly talking about NFA items. AOWs, SBRs, SBSs, suppressors, etc. Background checks are fine, but if I am legal to own a gun in the first place, and follow the law, why should I be punished by limiting the types of firearms I choose to buy? If someone commits a crime with an NFA item, I’m all for harsher…

I’m not comparing cars to guns as objects. I’m comparing the feeling of being an enthusiast for one thing being arbitrarily regulated in a similar manner to another thing. Whatever fear you have of inanimate objects is on you. Cars kill more people that guns! There, NOW I made an invalid comparison.

Car enthusiasts: this enraged feeling you are feeling is what us firearm enthusiasts constantly feel with the BATFE and/or our state governments. That feeling when the government thinks they can make arbitrary rules that only really impact those that will follow the law because we don’t like prison.
