Yeah, the regular hardcover. I never saw the limited edition. That’s actually very beautiful.

I feel your pain! It also irritated me that the hardcover BOTW strategy guide went with a totally different design. That would have been an instant buy for me if it had featured a similar look to the others in the series. I’m not even asking for an identical design, just give me something that doesn’t look like a…
Sure, when are you going to start writing it?
I’ve been trying for half an hour now to post a response to this, and every god-damn time it ends up being just a string of curse words.
I thought it was coming this holiday season. I put it on my list as soon as it was announced. Did they move the release date?
I know, I’ve heard all the silly questions myself over the years when I lived overseas. I like to refer to the scene in Coming to America where Eddie Murphy spins a globe, looks at the US and says, “the land is so big, the choices are infinite. Where shall we go - Los Angeles, or New York?”
Star Trek: Discovery, Star Wars: the Last Jedi, and Guardians of the Galaxy all seem to be okay with using the antiquated concept of a galactic empire. We’re not talking about some serious hard SF novel here. I think it can be done.
I can’t stop seeing Tom Hanks.
I have no plans to put my stinkeye online anytime soon.
I would sign up for All Access for that show.
Okay, Smug’s expression NEEDS to be meme-ified. I need that expression like twenty times a day.
Yep. I just can’t force myself to give a damn about a show airing on a paid service that, aside from that one show, nobody cares about and I will never get. And that makes Discovery seem like a little piece of fan-fic instead of Star Trek’s triumphant return to television.
That was my biggest surprise here, too. Mind blown...
True, I love MP Pinball. Still take it with me on road trips. I wish it had a couple more tables, but it’s great fun.
Yeah, that struck an odd note to me too. I realise hardly anyone cares about these things anymore, but Pournelle was pretty much the opposite of the New Wave (AKA some of my favorite authors, too!)
Yeah, nowhere in that article does it say black people are cool with white guys using the N-word. And I’m not mistaken at all, and you’re completely wrong. The end.
Really? We’re going with that? In my personal experience there are pretty much no black people anywhere who are okay with a white dude using that word that way. Dude does NOT get a pass because he’s European.
Counterpoint: clowns aren’t scary, not inherently. Clowns get scary when they do things that strike our brains as wrong. Clowns hiding in sewers and whispering out at kids in the rain, sure, that’s scary. But it’s not scary because it’s a clown, it’s scary because there’s a guy hiding in a sewer drain whispering at…
What I came to suggest!
I still haven’t found a weapon I like nearly as much as the Aerospray MG. I try something else, I suck. Keep trying, suck a little less but still sucking. Go back to Aerospray, suddenly I’m the master of inking. But it’s true that I’ve been playing mostly Turf War.
