turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, and cranberries. dessert can be whatever it wants, but i’d never miss sweet potatoes or green beans or even rolls because they never made any appearances at thanksgiving growing up so to me they aren’t necessary. 

Broccoli Rice Casserole is pretty good. My mom used to make it with chunks of chicken as well, which made it really tasty; you could also do it as a leftover dish with turkey chunks if you wanted to use up some of the leftovers. :)

I think Turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce makes me think of thanksgiving. Personally I don’t really like Turkey so I never eat it. This year I’m doing Lloyds ribs, and some trader joes sided. Maybe next year I’ll have a reason to make it a big to do.

Personally: The Broccoli Rice Casserole and the Minced Meat Pie.  Just stuff that’s been at all my thanksgiving’s and I notice when they’re not there.

Turkey, masked potatoes & gravy are required. For me, everything else is superfluous.

That supervisor sounds awful. With people like that, all you can do is play the game and do what they want and hopefully they will eventually stop being so awful. You are an asset to that place, and great with the kitties, and that’s what’s important.
