@SaiNekopan: The use of capital letters to open a chapter is a very old and respectable typographical feature. You would have probably seen it around but not noticed it, unless you're a typography geek, or a writer.

@mile13: I think most of the Giz writers are too young to remember A New Hope

@TheCrudMan: You obviously have a different relationship with your camera to me.

@FlyingAvocado: My D700 has a pop up flash, and that's the reason I bought it. With Nikon's brilliant creative lighting system, a pop-up flash is all you need to drive up to 16 external flash guns remotely.

@TheCrudMan: I wish that exposure compensation dial would end up on Nikon's DSLRs.

Hey Giz, just as an aside, what would be the average age of your writing staff?

@Somekindofmonster: My understanding of Mac hardware accelerated H.264 encoding is that only the QT Pro software can use it, and that includes external stuff like the Elgato H.264 encoder.

@SagaciousT: I've got my mac mini set up as a home theatre PC and Perian is a life saver. Not only does it give you all the goodness stated in the article, it also allows you to play those videos through FrontRow, and I looooove FrontRow.

Methinks they should have invested the money they saved on a better screen protector.

@wild homes loves you but chooses darkness!: I love my Wacom Graphire tablet but I've been asking Wacom for years to introduce some sort of keyboard overlay so you can use the tablet with hotkeys and so you don't have to move the tablet out of the way to use the keyboard.

I wonder if it leaks light through the focal distance meter like my real Nikon 24-70 f/2.8.

If they keep cramming these hardcore processors into the iMacs, surely they're going to start running into overheating problems. The tops of the 27" iMacs I've seen on display seem very hot.

@ian.g.case: Actually, since it's Bluetooth, it might.

@burnblue: According to the specs on the site it needs OS 10.6.4 or later.

@sweetelectro: Indeed. It would go very nicely with my new home theatre hdmi mac mini. The ol' dinovo with its aeons of battery-life is doing the trick though.

@snubz: With these kick arse dSLRs around, and so cheap, why would anyone bother hiring Arri or Panaflex cameras?

@TheShredder: In a couple of years, by which time the top of the line cameras will have 10 million ISO #canon1dmarkiv
