Totally agree. Bought a 2016 Grand Cherokee, and all I wanted was heated seats and a factory hitch. A mere $7500 later, I get the tow package - which requires a sunroof(??), and a tech package to get the heated seats. Love the Jeep though; 75th anniversary, with the muted bronze accents...but it wasn’t cheap. I miss…

Doc fees vary from state to state (my state is $250 for auto dealerships), but legally, they can charge it no matter what. They can be generous and remove it, but I’ve never seen that happen. This is basically profit that the DP can stuff right in their pocket, if they want.
