And Neil Gorsuch...I see you what ya did!
And Neil Gorsuch...I see you what ya did!
FWIW, it was actually 6-3, with Thomas, Alito, and Gorsuch dissenting.
You’re correct. And it was per curiam, which means that Kennedy didn’t write it, “The Court” wrote it. Thomas dissented, joined by Alito and Gorsuch.
This scene always pops in my head whenever the Clarence Thomas is mentioned. He ain’t shit and I hope hell is real.
You already KNOW he was in the minority. Uncle Thom(as) has been voting against the interests of people who look like him since...this new thing called “always.” I don’t know of any other black person who holds the 14th amendment in contempt the way this nigga does. It’s mind numbing.
4 of 5 Justices would have voted to let the execution move ahead even if Jesus came down and told them someone else committed the crime entirely.
5-4. That means 4 of (supposedly) the best jurists in the land looked at those terrible, awful things he said in the Times interview and said, “nah, no racial animus here!”
This should really be the only picture you ever use of this chump.
Oh goody. The Republican led House Ethics Committee is going to expand its investigation into the unethical behavior of a Republican member of the House.
Here’s the thing: did this driver tell the straight couple that “He couldn’t take them anymore” then drop them off in a remote, unsafe location? If not, then he’s applying the rules differently because of the couple’s orientation and that is discrimination.
A quick kiss on the lips, often called a peck, is not making out. No one would ever accuse me of making out with my boyfriend if we kissed like that because we are a straight couple. Come on now.
you shouldn’t touch or flirt with other people in the car...That’s no sexual conduct
They were in a van that had bucket seats. I find it very easy to believe the couple that this was not a make-out session at all. Have you ever tried to make out with someone while you were in van bucket seats?
Oh noes! Did the driver catch The Gay?
The community guidelines are so very clearly meant for interactions between strangers (i.e. Uber Pool). That Uber would point the news station to this is pretty fucking awful of them.
Does the fine print say the driver may drop you off in a dangerous area or that they have to pull over to a safe spot?
Or on the side of the highway. Can’t you just low-rate passengers or send a message that you won’t pick them up again. I’m sure that constitutes a dangerous situation and if it’s not in Uber’s Driver Rules of Conduct, it sure should be... after the lawsuit.
Whether or not this is discrimination, dude’s still an asshole for kicking them over a New Years kiss.
They should get rid of the review teams and just hire three philosophers to debate the existential questions the rules committee seems unable to clarify - when does a quarterback stop being a quarterback and become a runner? when is a catch not a catch? if the ground can’t cause a fumble, how can it cause an…
Was that Nance? God I hate Nance, I swear he owes me money.
