It is true. That is done in much of Latin America. Often it isn’t even the first generation that adds on, but when the kids become adults and don’t have enough money to buy some land but do have enough to add on top of the house.

Or occasionally the bottom becomes a business and they add on to make new living quarters

I’m hoping that a larger number of higher end used cars will eventually lower in price due to extra supply. IF that is the case, then buying new becomes even worse of a deal because depreciation increases.

When they said worm grenade launcher, I 100% thought they were talking about this:

Not letting Musk off the hook on this one, but I think most auto makers were also promising affordable EVs and the average EV still costs over $50k. The new Hyundais and Kias are estimated to be over $50k. They are getting more expensive rather than less.

Ford is going to absolutely run away with the EV truck category. All their potential “disruptor” competitors are dropping like flies. As far as I can tell the only remaining ones are:
1. Silverado (too expensive and non-existent)
2. Rivian (cool, but expensive and can’t make them fast enough)
3. Canoo (neat, but weird

I understand from an employee’s perspective why you’d want your work in theaters. But as a parent with 2 kids who are testing daily because of exposures at school, I do not want to go to a theater. My kids loved Encanto, listen to the soundtrack daily, and got the toys with their Christmas money. Disney is definitely

I have a little BMW i3 which I love, while the cold affects the range noticeably, running the heater/ac full blast affect it more. So if I were going for speed cross country, I would avoid that as much as possible. But all of those cars are light years ahead in tech than my little BMW so it may not matter as much.

I

Here ya go. Yes there was definitely planning and strategy, but I was expecting maybe weird battery rigs or something like that,  but the first one was a porsche and didn’t even use Tesla chargers:

the EV Cannonball run record was broken twice this year. Both times under 48 hours, the first by a Porsche and the 2nd by a Tesla:

I strongly suspect that I’m going to like this car better with the camo on than without it.

The BMW app is largely hot garbage. It frequently logs me out, is unable to find my car, and sometimes they just discontinue the app and launch a new one because the old one was even worse.

Is it because I’m an optimist or because I’m a scifi nerd that I believe there is more unknown unknown than unknowable out there? Obviously I’m not talking in our lifetimes, but if the human race survives for a million more years, imagine what elementary school might be like!

I tried getting a car from the dealer a few months back. I had a slightly shorter wait time, but it was not the trim I wanted and they were adding an $8k upcharge. The supply chain issues are making the dealers even more dealer-y.

Sorry for the tenuous connection but it was another in the list of Subaru repairability quirks and issues.

Or why you have to lower the exhaust system and drill holes in your outback to install a tow hitch on a car that borderline should have every car have one from the factory.

Glad to see they’re bringing kinect sports back.

I have a 2xl that I pulled out of a drawer this weekend and it is still very snappy. It currently does not have very much installed on it so I can’t confirm how the battery is, but I suspect Google using the Tensor chip on these would make that an apples and oranges comparison anyway.

For me, I think it is the used vs new comparison. It is wildly compromised as a $40k+ new vehicle but an incredible bargain as a ~$15k used vehicle. Because of this disparity, no one is going to buy a new vehicle unless there is an all new generation of i3 to entice someone over.

I still think BMW could have made

The shift to electric yard equipment is probably farther along now than cars. A couple of years ago I bought a mower for the first time. The recommendation sites were all recommending electric mowers over the traditional engines even at lowish-mid price points. That’s what we wound up with and everything about it was

Honestly, I think marketing these will be easy. Just tell people they are fast. It is basically a law in the south that pickup drivers have to go 20 over the posted limit.
