400hp is not difficult to get out of these engines. You'll of course need to upgrade the turbo, air intake, exhaust, software, and possibly fueling, but tuners like APR and Unitronic have been able to get 450+ reliable horsepower from these engines for a while. One thing's for sure though - it ain't cheap.
