The only things can can be fixed by software updates are software problems. You can’t fix a physical problem just by updating software. Normal cars can have software problems that can be fixed the same way as well, if companies would install the equipment necessary for over-the-air updates.
Yes.
The airport IS up and running in a limited capacity. You cannot simply clear the runway and have commercial jets flying in and out the next day. It’s too risky. What, you want to simply fly in some 747s and carry all 3.5 million people out? Without functioning radar? Without power? Without transportation…
You do realize a military invasion does not just happen right? Its a well planned and coordinated event that take months to years. You don’t just say “Send in the Marines” and it magically happens.
So, alternate hypothesis here. Tesla logs say remote button was pressed 4 times in close proximity to the car. Tesla doesn’t know anyone actually pressed anything. The all-knowing logs didn’t visually record anyone pressing a button.
Reusable rockets really aren’t the biggest achievement they could have been done a long time ago. NASA and the Soviets simply didn’t have to budget for reusable rockets.
But it doesn’t, the tunnel entrances and exits are even worse choke points
Please, for the love of God, explain to me how this is any different than any other tunnel boring machine ever used. Bertha, Harriet, the one that dug twin light rail tunnels under Lake Washington, the one in Switzerland that dug the longest tunnel in the world. This is not fucking new.
Ride sharing (cars that everyone uses but no one owns) has an advantage in one scenario: if level 5 autonomous cars are possible, but will be very expensive. It’s easier to justify the cost of a 250k+ vehicle if it’s shared among many people.
Don’t be so sure. People talk about the bloated SUVs but the truth is, it’s the minivans that have truly become bloated. When first introduced, the Dodge Caravan (arguably the first “minivan”) was 176" long, and weighed 2900 lbs. The new Chysler Pacifica is now more than two feet longer (204") and weighs 4,330 lbs.…
What full autopilot? Whoever told you that is wrong. Egregiously wrong.
Couldn’t disagree with this article more.
Yeah of course, but making that claim gets blogs to write about them and Tesla is all about that. They don’t actually care if they hit that target, and neither do their fans.
unfortunately, battery density hasn’t really made big strides in well over a decade. The way Teslas’s gotten the increased range is by making the packs bigger and bigger.
The S is proportionally elegant, but Tesla’s attempt to scale that to the larger proportions of the X and the smaller proportions of the 3 haven’t been particularly successful. I will say that no amount of tweaking could help the X, but the biggest design issue I have with the 3 is that blank front end, and yeah I…
I suspect that if the 3 rolls off the line on time (history says otherwise) that it will be a quality nightmare. Other automakers have been making cars for decades with extremely talented engineers and have yet to skip soft tooling. As someone who grew up in the auto industry and works in the industry I assure you if…
No, they will definitely roll out. The first 30 will go to Tesla employees, and they will all give it rave reviews.
..I was watching the news when the ships and the submarines were deployed to the korean peninsula. The media reported that the subs were in the region at the time they were deployed ..http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/24/politics/uss-michigan-nuclear-sub-south-korea/
