It would have been more effective if the door was slowly opened and revealed the twisted leg was still attached to her half-consumed corpse with the two skin-eaters munching away.

By the end credits it actually felt like an episode of something. Getting the hell out of that dull prison setting sometimes does wonders for the show.

Solid episode. Michael Shannon was massively entertaining to watch as he transformed once again into Van Alden. I feel differently about Sally Wheet than the reviewer. She's a welcome replacement for the dull companion Margaret was. I hope we see more of her this season and next.

I don't think so. This is Van Alden's rebirth.

I also share your wish for Gillian to be written out this season. Her scenes are coffee breaks for me.

Same. It's a great scene in a very average sequel. The lighting and mood are totally menacing. And the stop-motion effects are terrific.

That Kill Bill Vol.2 sequence even manages to squeeze in a gratuitous shot for QT's foot fetish collection.

Sneaking up on someone instead of like a normal person and saying 'Hey, Carol…' as you approach.

She went from one of the worst to probably the best character on this show of few actual characters.

It might have worked if the actor was better at emoting. But I rolled my eyes at the hackneyed portrayal of an angry man, yelling, throwing punches, madly digging graves.

She's been more like the glowering Karl from that movie.

As long as no one touches the damn radio while driving. Sheesh.

We're already the zombies. Or brainwashed consumers. Whatever the big corporations have been working on for decades. What more do they want?

Deliverance.

She actually seems like a character now.

Plus gun noise attracts zombies. A good reason to use spears and knives and other stabbing weapons.

I love how characters on this show are referred to by "that black guy", "alcoholic doctor".

And of course you always follow a creepy blood trail into the dark armed with only a bunch of flowers during a zombie holocaust.
