Reasons for Silence can still make me tear up.

i still listen to this album all the time, definitely an underappreciated classic. some of the seeming throwaway tracks are quite breathtaking even after all these years, e.g. the 2:16 Fall in a River. reviewer is right, it feels like you opened the wrong door in a house and stumbled into a stranger's dream
"unexpected to viewers"
i don't think jamie's arc really compares here. i did already mention theon, i'd say he's the exception. obviously there's plenty of misery in GoT, but a lot of the men who hold a crown seem to get by with a quick beheading or death on the battlefield. with cersei, sansa, and now dany it's a much more specific and…
that's exactly the point. men get killed (theon excepted i suppose.) women get tortured and humiliated. in a television world where getting killed is standard semiotic currency, the torture/humiliation/degradation thing sticks out.
Scene: The Game of Thrones writers' room
this show's freudian fixation with torturing powerful women continues to be super weird and uncomfortable
not to be that guy but i'm pretty sure the lyric is
“People you’ve been before / That you don’t want around anymore / They push and shove and won’t bend to your will / I’ll keep them still.” Makes more sense as well.

what i came here to say. from the livestream last week it was completely apparent that no one in the main cast knew this was going to happen. they were supposed to have goofy ass pete holmes and he "canceled" (who knows if that was a ruse.) they started the stream late, with gethard all flustered because he suddenly…
i love this show, so fuck off
son this account has existed since the mid 2000s
i watched this exactly as it was meant to be watched: in a video player window on my computer while doing other things, a window that was minimized several times when i needed the screen, a window with an easy to use fast-forward hotkey for the carol parts.
kanye doesn't always tweet the truth
deadpool's wild enthusiasm for the improbability of this person's superhero name, and his desire to "trade names" with her, is one example of this movie's good jokes
this is how i felt as well. as someone who became convinced that superhero movies are inevitable garbage round about the time of the second x men installment, i caught this with zero expectations and ended up actually enjoying it a lot. the jokes at the expense of the genre land, and don't believe the hype about the…
