I mean the back and forth patter they go through. You're right that it's not a part of every sketch, but it's part of a lot of them. To choose a single moment, imagine Key saying something, Peele missing the point, and Key starting to correct him and then giving up mid-sentence, closing his mouth and exhaling loudly…
Your reviews are too long. Make them shorter.
I really wish the TV reviews (at least the GoT reviews) were written more like this comment. Spare us the go-nowhere philosophizing and let's get some *jokes and chitchat* up in this B.
I agree, the one sign of weakness in an otherwise remarkably strong first season was the fish thing.
I was just thinking how sad it was to see how much Fargo has done in six episodes, and compare it to how little Game of Thrones has done in seven.
Upon waking up this morning I realized this was probably the meaning of the scene—I agree with you. The peculiar light shining through the window seems to clearly imply 'the very next day' kind of setting.
So we're all in agreement that this whole episode wasn't just an elaborate daydream on Lester's part? That last scene really gave me pause. When does it take place in the chronology?
Yep. Surprised the reviewer forgot about this. This was absolutely not Ginsberg's first schizophrenic breakdown on the show, it is in no way 'out of nowhere.' Reviewer needs to do her homework.
We are the handclaps!
Yep. The way he channels enthusiasm for music in his criticism is really special. I owe my knowledge of Destroyer and Reigning Sound to him, among others.
Don't forget to check out Darnielle's writing as well, he's just as talented on the page as out the boombox. His music criticism is really good, and he also writes about boxing and other subjects if you Google around a bit. And of course the liner notes to all of these albums are modern classics of the genre.
this episode was a total animorphs rip-off.
I'm looking forward to deep analysis of the empty spaces in Plok.
The music grew on me as the episode wore on. But the main reason to tough it out is the next-level shit Sanz is bringing to the table.
This week's I4H was probably the best episode in the history of the show.
"…and this is from a completely different person? seems unlikely."
"how's that spelled now?"
Does it make me juvenile that I laughed hardest at the parts where stuff collapsed on these fake toy people, along with that cheesy cartoon punching sound?
Yeah, those phonies only spent months in brutal Russian prisons! And only *one* of them nearly died in the process! What a bunch of sell outs. At 24 years old they should know better by now.
