    Don into the sunset
I've mostly been reading these weekly reviews without comment this season, but now that we're through it seems like a good time to bring this up.

Wrong, Kenny and Stevie talk about the Magic cards later, at the family dinner. (Speaking of which, when can we expect the big non-reveal that the whole family speaks English? End of the season?)

    Man those guys
sure do know how to suck the air right out of a weird video. They do this professionally?

    ?
don's not having a panic attack, he's detoxing.

One of the few legitimately funny bits of the night.

Yes, I do know that story. The way I read it, it comes off more as Hitchens absent-mindedly not realizing that vandalizing a swastika in Lebanon might get him into trouble, but I'll admit it took balls.

Here's the example I was looking for, as well. Taking Hitchens away from the easy pickins of cable TV, and forcing him to argue with a person of real intelligence, pulls the mask away: http://bloggingheads.tv/dia…

On the contrary, I'm very aware of his output. I've read most of his milestone pieces, including his Iraq boosterism — and my subscription to the Atlantic makes him unavoidable.

    a-?
the tremendous disconnect between the praiseworthy tone of this review and the quotes pulled to support it (all of which read like bits of a laid-thick parody of a fatuous blowhard's memoir) is absolutely hilarious.

    O'Neal
You are wild. Newswire has become AV Club's must read feature. Please bring back buzzkills.

    !!
I am shocked — SHOCKED — that no one either in the article or the comments mentioned Tree Stars. Damn but they made those things look good.

    Destroyer
Noel: Where is that Destroyer song from? I wasn't aware he had released anything this year and I would love to track it down.

    you're always chasing after deer

Yeah, it has, natty. My recommendations would be:

along that line of thinking, maybe the best (or most clever) intrusion of the modern world on the fairy tale is that the princess, having been sought and won, is eventually cheated on by her suitor with her sister.

Fitting this book into the literary universe
I will go ahead and admit right off the bat that this is one of my favorite books. It cracked and then shattered my top ten, to say the least. (Those who feel similarly may be interested in purchasing an anniversary copy here: http://www.littlebig25.com)

    he was great
he was great in Raising Arizona

can we give the writers some credit
"Saul Goodman" as in " 'ts all good, man" was crackin me up

    wow
how was the AV club able to land an interview with Burt Reynolds? He's so reclusive!
