I agree about the mostly soulless part EXCEPT for the opening to the new Star Trek series, which was definitely the most emotionally engaged I’ve ever been in that universe.

Anytime I daydream about being able to step into parallel worlds, it ends up with me bringing back dvds of tv shows that didn’t get cancelled in that world, and posting them on Youtube. Except Firefly, it never gets a season two.
