Infuriating because we don’t know the half of it and yet, what we do know keeps rearing its ugly head so often.

Waco went from one cult to another, this one just is shiny and the feds aren’t involved.

There’s a (heavy) whiff of prosperity gospel and shameless greed about them.

Ending this tirade with what is essentially “but why isn’t there a WHITE HISTORY MONTH?!” sums up your objections to Meghan quite perfectly.

lol at little girls wearing tights to a wedding as an ancient cultural tradition that must be honored.

Changing the name of my band to Wigfull of Secrets.

They removed themselves from a situation where people were constantly gossiping and scrutinizing their every move. For godsakes, the press acted like there’s a “wrong” way to be pregnant.

It would be an interesting exercise to measure and quantifiably compare the number of words the Times and other British rags have devoted to Meghan and how much devoted to Prince Andrew, who raped child slaves.

Oh, so THAT’S why her hair is so voluminous: it’s full of secrets AND it’s a wig!

“she’s condescending” “she’s not humble enough for my taste” “she doesn’t have sufficient grace (i.e. she doesn’t know her place” ... this all reads like a lot of word salad to avoid just saying “uppity”

Sounds like to me: smelling the stench of one’s farts in the wind.

“Fearless against the wind” makes about as much sense as titling it “Brave in the face of a slight incline.”

Yeah, we got a million leaked stories from Meghan’s staff in 2018, about how difficult she was to work with, and how it was driving assistants away. And the examples for how she was “difficult” were things like: she wakes up at 5 AM, she sometimes texts her assistants as much as 6-7 times a day, she wants to write or

Hi Samantha!

Pressuring people to work before their official start times is pretty bad behaviour and can rise to bullying. On the other hand, it’s also common in a lot of workplaces to send emails at all hours with zero expectation that they’ll be read or actioned outside of the normal work schedule.

I remember reading about that. Her “go-getter attitude” and early start time made her a workaholic not leisurely enough for the leisure class, apparently a crime against humanity in the Royal Family.

It’s not exclusively Antioch church folks on “Fixer Upper,” but they are freeeeequently featured on the show. It’s a huge church in Waco, sure, but I also suspect having some kind of personal friendship/friend-of-friend connection can’t hurt.

I lived in Waco for a while and waited tables at a restaurant Chip and Joanna went to almost every Saturday night and I typically was the one waiting on their table. This was years before they had their show. They were always nice and largely the same as you see them on TV, the personalities are real and not made up

My feeling, too - especially since there is the story about how they bought out their partner right before signing the TV deal without telling him about it. Although looking into it now, it just recently got tossed - with Chip countersuing. Who knows what the truth of that was - but I do get a kick out of the claim

They are prosperity Christians. They believe that they are entitled to rule the world.
