I've been saying it for a few years, but fighting piracy with updates isn't the way. If you want to beat piracy, you have to offer something they cannot touch. A service of some sort.

I really love my Sony MDR-V6s. The default pads are a bit sucky, but they can be replaced with some by Beyerdynamic that are compatible. Bit of a chore, but results in a much better feel and less sweaty ears.

I've pirated before and sometimes I still do, but most of the time, I just don't bother anymore.

@BUNGL3: You have to also consider all the work that goes into developing something as complex as an operating system. You can get an OEM edition of Win7 for 100 bucks. That is pennies considering your use of it.

@BeerManMike: That's a really good keyboard. One of the best you can get that isn't mechanical.

@senselocke: You can build a PC for 300 with Windows if you buy used parts. Or new for 300 without Windows. Should handle 720p and thus should be better than a console.

If they improve on this a bit, it could be incredibly awesome... why they need a Kinect for it though, I really don't know. A webcam would've been more than enough.
