@dfp3050: Well now that you pointed it out, you deserve a big punch on the nose for ruining the picture.

@TheMightyEthan: Ahh, I think I get it now. I've never really played the MMOs (aside from a 5 minute demo playing around with a friends character in WoW) but this might be something worth looking into.

@jupiterthunder: I wouldn't call that an irrational discomfort at all.

@TheMightyEthan: I don't think it would be the currency exchange part that would mess with economists, I think it would the behaviors in spending that wouldn't translate from video games to real life.

Interesting. I'm not even in grad school yet, but I may contemplate at least using this idea in some fashion in one of my papers.

I assumed Hollywood casting directors were always just saying "Just call the agent for that big British guy who looks fucking nuts. He'd be perfect for this part."

I just finished Braid last night. Definitely one of the coolest games I've played in a long time.

Grabbed Medieval: Total War II off Steam the other day for $30 bucks. I immensely enjoyed the first one, but this newer rendition... I dunno. There's a few bugs I've found that are a bit annoying, and some aspects of the game that I just think they could've done without, but none of them have still stopped me from

Kotaku editors got stuck in their Alcoholics Anonymous class? You guys are hardcore gamers, no joke.
