I'm not being sarcastic when I say that the D League Dunk Contest was actually better. There are some Vines floating around that will corroborate this.

How many times did that announcer say "she just doesn't have enough experience" after someone ate it? This is the fucking Olympics, they all have enough experience. The course designers, not so much.

Well, altitude training is standard aerobic practice for any event. I'm less sure about the indoor/outdoor differences.

This. I don't have a problem with instituting speed cameras in school zones (during times when school is starting/getting out) to catch people speeding 40+ in a 25. That's actually discouraging unsafe behavior

There's nothing inherently wrong with speed cameras. As long as they're implemented correctly, with a sane margin of error and only at those relatively rare locations where speeding is actually dangerous. They could be used for catching those who run red lights too, I do support fining those individuals.

"and I woke up in a new buga...." who cares. This news belongs on Jezebel not Jalopnik. Just because it was in a gallardo does not make this car news.

"If they're counting something that we're not counting, and we're on equal footing, wouldn't it be wise to count it?"

Going off-road when you're plowing through snow the whole time and you can't see any hazards on the ground is brilliant. You'll always find the cool kids trapped, wrecked, or upside down beside the road when the traffic starts to clear instead of going home to their stupid lives like some kind of sucker.

what happens if you get down the shoulder and your vehicle is no longer capable? The shoulder is blocked, which prevents help from getting to the scene. That happened in Atlanta last night too.

So the real rivalries (states that hate each other) are:

What's more insufferable, 'Bama fans or unnecessary songs overlaid on videos?

He gets close. Here are why I diss the Mustang, since you asked politely:

You cant judge all of them off of this one video. Each of them has a wildly varied style so no 2 reviews are actually the same. You'll have to watch a few of them to see my point. Look at his porsche carrera review or the miata review to see what im getting at.

Why? A made field goal is a made field goal.

... Which is also where the vast majority of super-long attempts are made because of (not necessarily accurate) conventional wisdom about altitude effects. You have to think about confounding variables, dumb-dumb.

As awesome as I want this to be, how terrible would this be, holy shit. Yoiu would look at the gas pedal a little too hard and the car would spontaneously flip over

And if he's asking $30,000 because that's the insured value (it's on the eBay listing) then by that same logic, the Echo with a Porsche flat 6 would only cost about $1,000. Oh sweet lord where is this Toyota, I want to buy it NOW.

The question everybody should be asking is where do I buy the Toyota Echo cruising around with a Porshe flat 6?

Of course it's a real record, it's just that it's so obvious the team was playing for a record, it hollows out the meaning. You are also right there is a grey area. There are lots of examples of a team doing something specifically to preserve a record (even if it's tiny like the Tigers pulling their best hitter after

There's "winning the game" and then there's "intentionally singling out inferior competition to manufacture publicity stunts against". Good attempted analogies with other sports, though!
