Seems about the going rate for a usable EV. $35k seems about the sweet spot for the Bolt, Entry-level Tesla (yet to be released) and the CX-30.

Your logic doesn't belong here
Why would anyone in the US buy the MX-30 for $35,000 (Car and Driver estimate, base price) with those specs? Even if you make a good income and can take the max federal tax credit, that $27,500 is close to what we paid for our new ‘18 Bolt, optioned with heated seats, heated steering wheel and DC fast charge options -…
No, if such a car existed we’dve read some coverage about it by now.
A brand new, high performance, mid-engined, V8 car with a warranty for only $60k? You’re out of your mind! That would be a crazy bargain! No manufacturer would do that!
Or..or for 60k... you could have a better looking car, with the same performance a mid engined V8 & a warranty...
“Hmmm.... Yeah, looks like you definitely got one of your obnoxious cardigans stuck in your serpentine belt again, Todd.”
I think 50 miles would be the sweet spot.
The Global Entry card doesn’t actually do anything for you when you’re traveling domestically, although I typically travel with mine because it has my Known Traveler Number (KTN, aka my Precheck number). When you book a ticket as a Precheck holder, you enter your KTN. Then your boarding pass will have the Precheck…
Wendy’s nevers cuts corners, they should build cars.
An honest question here. Do Tesla’s assembly line woes translate into supply issues for replacement parts on older vehicles? When, say, the wheel bearings wear out, are they proprietary Tesla components, or can you pick up new pieces at AutoZone?
Not bad. Performance was as expected. I guess part of me is glad that some automakers aren’t shying away from a statement car. But I think the biggest weakness is the lack of horizontal bars on the front grille and bumper.
Is twenty grand enough to sway the whims of someone seeking a six figure sports car? I’m inclined to believe it won’t
You’re going to pray for him when your the one kicking people out of their homes over a couple hundred bucks? Are you really that self unaware? Others have pointed out there are other options out there but its clear you get off on the power trip. You seriously need some self reflection.
Hey asshole, ever stop to consider that maybe $185/y is still a prohibitively high sum of money to some people, especially when they are more likely than not living in a mortgaged house or bought it with a loan or what have you?
Hey there. Vice President of my HOA here. I got involved specifically to keep crazy people like you from foreclosing on homes for not paying dues.
Hahahaha, I’ve run across your type before. The super empathetic appearing type with an ulterior motive. Face it brother, you’re siding with the HOA on this one because there’s money and power to be had - let’s be realistic here....you’re not an altruistic person, and your missive defines that rather well. Not to…
“I’ve foreclosed on 3 deadbeats this year already and took their houses and put their shit on the curb for not paying up the measly $185 a year dues”
So that’s how you get your rocks off? Weird.
I can’t wait until one of these hits the salvage yards in 2035 or so. It would be awesome to see one of these with a RWD conversion and BMW’s V10 in there. I’d run it catless, make it shoot flames, and call it the “iH8mpg.”
