Never put coilovers on a car your just driving to work. You will hate the stiff ride. The roads are terrible all over and stock suspensions are designed to absorb that horror. If you want to lower your car, get shorter springs. If you want better cornering, get thicker sway bars. Ask me how I know this.
My buddy had one, sort of a green color, we called it the “frog.” We could never get the top up so it was a permanent convertible. We drove it everywhere, rain or shine. It never broke down, ironically, but the back bumper did fall off and there was an exhaust leak that could not be located. Fun for all!
